# Bill & Ben FAQ

Answers about the 14-day free trial, plans and VAT, limits, which AI models Bill and Ben use, meeting recordings and who can give them instructions.

## Do I need a card for the trial?

No. The trial is free for 14 days and needs no card.

## What happens when the trial ends?

If you don't choose a plan, your space becomes read-only. Your data stays readable, and choosing a plan unlocks it again.

## Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, at any time, from the billing page in your console. After you cancel, your space becomes read-only.

## What counts as a person?

Everyone who signs in to use Bill and Ben. Team starts at 3 people and Business at 10.

## What if we use more than the plan includes?

Extra meeting time, workspace time, storage and AI use are added to your monthly invoice. Your admin sees usage in the console as it grows. (Coming soon)

## What happens when we reach a limit?

Web look-ups by Bill and Ben pause at the monthly limit (3,000 on Team) and are never billed extra. AI use beyond the included credit is billed by use. The company library holds 100,000 passages on Team and 500,000 on Business; at the limit, uploads and connector syncs stop with a clear message, and nothing is deleted. (Coming soon)

## What if a payment fails?

We warn you for 14 days. Then new AI work pauses. After 30 days only data export works. Nothing is deleted automatically.

## Are prices shown with VAT?

No. Prices exclude VAT; your invoice adds the VAT that applies to you. (Coming soon)

## Which AI models do Bill and Ben use?

Leading models from several labs, including Anthropic, OpenAI and Google. Your admin can switch off any provider.

## Do people know they are talking to an AI?

Yes. Bill and Ben say they are AI assistants before they first answer, and say so when they join a meeting.

## Do Bill and Ben record our meetings?

They join only when invited, and they say that the meeting is transcribed. They answer when someone speaks to them by name.

## Who can tell Bill and Ben what to do?

Only people your admin allows. Others get one polite "I can't help with that" a day.
